The dahlias were inspired by the beautiful red dahlias growing in my garden this spring (until the marigolds took over the flower box!). Che'ls sunflower was inspired by the beautiful "volunteer" sunflower that showed up in Chel's garden in northern New Mexico. I got the idea for the barrels from a picture I did of a Blue Star Highway sign from my travels to western Michigan. While the "real" Blue Star Highway sign was posted attached to a cement-filled tube to stabilize it, I got the idea that it could instead be a barrel full of flowers. It turns out the barrels are perfect for the slim vertical design space of a bookmark.
Printed on heavy-weight cream felt cardstock, they are gently textured and in full color on both sides. Measuring 2" x 6".
